Kell Brook suffered the second loss of his career, when the classy American Errol Spence stopped him in 11 rounds on Saturday night. In a bruising encounter at Bramall Lane, Sheffield both fighters showed their class in a back and forth encounter. George Groves finally became world champion on Saturday night, by knocking out Fedor Chudinov. It was Groves fourth world title challenge, after suffering defeats to Carl Froch (twice) and Badou Jack last year, however this time he wasn’t to be denied. UFC president Dana White confirmed yesterday that he and Conor McGregor have agreed a deal, that would see him fight Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather later this year. According to White, the UFC will give McGregor their blessing to lock horns with Mayweather that could turn out to be the richest fight of all time.
