Kell Brook suffered the second loss of his career, when the classy American Errol Spence stopped him in 11 rounds on Saturday night. In a bruising encounter at Bramall Lane, Sheffield both fighters showed their class in a back and forth encounter. George Groves finally became world champion on Saturday night, by knocking out Fedor Chudinov. It was Groves fourth world title challenge, after suffering defeats to Carl Froch (twice) and Badou Jack last year, however this time he wasn’t to be denied. Conor Mcgregor agrees terms

UFC president Dana White confirmed yesterday that he and Conor McGregor have agreed a deal, that would see him fight Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather later this year. According to White, the UFC will give McGregor their blessing to lock horns with Mayweather that could turn out to be the richest fight of all time. Joshua stops Klitschko in 11th round

Anthony Joshua made a huge statement on Saturday night by stopping former undisputed heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley stadium. In a fight watched by 90,000 fans, Joshua showed tremendous heart by surviving a heavy knockdown in round 6, to overcome his opponent in the 11th. After a cagey start to the fight through the first 3 rounds, the fight came alive in the 4th with Klitschko troubling Joshua with two big right hands. However, after some stern words from Joshua’s corner, he came out of the corner in the 5th with purpose. He forched Klitschko onto the back foot with a barrage of punches, ending with a crisp left hook, Klitschko was down. Unsteady on his legs, he took an 8 count and many at ringside thought he was done. However, after using his experience to recover, it was Klitschko who finished the round stronger, catching Joshua with an uppercut and wobbling him. Into the 6th and Joshua walks straight onto a massive right from Klitschko that sends him crashing to the canvas.   Fans of Chavez Jr had anticipated he would be too strong for the smaller Alvarez but this was not the case. If anything, it was Alvarez who looked the stronger fighter in the ring.
